Just reading this Patrick Rothfuss blog and saw that Joe Abercrombie namechecked Wolfsangel. Looks like he likes it, which is a relief. Joe very kindly agreed to read it and perhaps comment on it. I hadn’t heard anything from him so I presumed he either had found life getting in the way of reading the book, as it so often does, or that he didn’t like it. There is an interview between Joe and Patrick and it’s great fun. It’s here. He describes Wolfsangel as ‘a gory, savage, medieval Norse magical werewolf book’, a description I’d find it hard to argue with.
